Medicines During Pregnancy or trying to Conceive...

I have a dilemma that some antibiotics are unsafe to pregnant mother
and also trying to conceive.

actually my wife have throat infection and ear pain due to
we had dinner yesterday in hotel and she consumed the
water kept there.

in the morning she has above effects and also we are trying to
conceive, i like to know what medicine is safe to her
actually we take Amoxcylin 250mg when in case of
cold and throat infection will it good for her or
what medicines we can have.

Please Advice...

Yes, amoxicillin is one of the few antibiotics that is safe even during pregnancy.
If its safe to intake during pregnancy then it s quite safe to use it during TTC.
So no worries.

oh thanks for the reply but morning she had cetrizine 5 mg, for runny nose and sore throat
actually we take it when these symptoms occur.

can you say any other medications safe for throat infection cough & cold.

pls advice.

hi stalin,
i used to take allegra 180mg and levocetrizine during the pregnancy till the 4th month until the allergic rhinitis stopped. my doc advised me to take them. i actually took then during ttc also.

Oh thanks a Lot hansika, but what antibiotic or medicines
can one take for cold and throat infection during TTC?

how can we control cough & cold, ear pain and head ache,
and sometimes headache during the ttc.?
