    Hi,
Is anyone using manual (NOT electric) roti makers, where we cna just roll out the dough and then make rotis on tawa. Yesterday I visited a friend and she was using chefmaster roti maker for pressing 'pathiri'(rice roti) dough. But she has an electric one and said she uses it only for pressing. It was very easy than rolling it out with hands but I dont want to spend on an electric one because 99% reviews are bad(for any brand). So please let me know if anyone is using manual one.

    Hi Ami

I do have a manual roti maker just for rolling the rotis.. I use it only for poori or stuffed parathas.. you need to apply oil on both the sides, keep the dough in the center and press it.. then flip the dough and press it again.. thats it. your rolled out chapathi/paratha/poori is ready..

Why only for poori and not chapathi? I mean does it not make it thin enough for chapathi?
