Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanyata Dutt was admitted in a local hospital on Tuesday morning after her health conditions deteriorated. Maanyata has been suffering from heart and liver ailment, which were confirmed last month.

According to Dr Ajay Chaughule, who specialises in liver and heart surgeries, Maanyata has now been admitted for two days in Global hospital, Parel, to seek treatment. "She is very sick and we are monitoring her medical parameters. Right now, no decision for any sort of surgery has been undertaken," Chaughule said. According to sources, Dutt is accompanying her in the hospital.
Earlier last month, 53-year-old Dutt was released on a parole of one month to look after Maanyata's ailing condition. According to Chaughule, during a preliminary heart test last month, a large sized tumour was discovered in her liver after she complained of chest pain and weight loss. The jail authorities had permitted to give Dutt a 30-day parole following confirmation of Maanyata's health conditions.

 

Actress Madhuri Dixit has reportedly send a special invitation to Sridevi and her other former co-stars for the premiere of her upcoming movie 'Dedh Ishqiya' tomorrow.

Madhuri has apparently invited Sridevi, Boney Kapoor and her other co-stars for the premiere of the movie, which marks her return to the big screen in a lead role after a gap of seven years.
Sridevi and Madhuri were contemporaries in the '80s and '90s. Sridevi made her comeback to screen after a gap of fifteen years with 'English Vinglish' while Madhuri's last release was 'Aaja Nachle' though she did have special appearances in 'Bombay Talkies' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
The 46-year-old actress plays the role of Begum Para and will be seen romancing Naseeruddin Shah in the Abhishek Chaubey directed film.

'Dedh Ishqiya' is a sequel to the 2010 hit 'Ishqiya' and also features Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaj in pivotal roles.
The movie, a comic-thriller, is produced by filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj and Raman Maroo of Shemaroo Entertainment. It is set to hit screens this Friday.

 

Naseeruddin Shah's opinion on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag didn't go well with yesteryear actor Shabana Azmi,who is also the step mother of the lead actor of the film, Farhan Akhtar. Naseeruddin Shah, an actor Bollywood can show to the world with pride, recently made a comment on the last year's blockbuster film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB). Bollywood's Naseer Saab was not very happy with the film and went on to call the film ' fake'.Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, with its realistic portrayal of Olympian Milkha Singh's life, had won great critical acclaim along with terrific box office success, last year. But Naseeruddin Shah had a different opinion. He said, "It's a completely fake film. Farhan (Akhtar) has no doubt worked very hard but building up muscles and growing your hair is not exactly working hard on your acting.At least he should have tried to look like Milkha."
Shabana Azmi who worked with Naseer in many films has now come up with an opinion that is very different from Naseer's. Shabana said, "Farhan was outstanding in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag His performance gave me gooseflesh. He has raised the bar for what actors should demand from themselves while portraying real-life characters. Naseer is entitled to his opinion. But most Indians don't agree with him." Even though Naseer had a point in telling that working on your acting is not working on your muscles, it seems that most of Bollywood don't agree with him. Farhan has built a great physique for the biopic but Milkha didn't look like Farhan at that point in time and it is a fact that BMB fans would not want to hear. Prasoon Joshi, who penned the biopic, was on the side of Shabana and opined, "I respect Naseer Saab and he's entitled to his opinion. But I don't agree with his opinion on BMB. I've written the film. It has inspired and connected with people all across the world. It was not meant to be a documentary or a niche film."

 

It is well-known that Rajinikanth has a huge fan following in Karnataka. Especially in Bangalore, the place where he was brought up, people love him like no other actor. However, the latest news is that his fans in the state are demanding the state government for the renovation of the school where the superstar had his preliminary education. "The condition of the school has worsened in the last two years and hundreds of students of different classes are forced to attend classes in temporary locations. This is a pressing issue and if a favourable decision is not arrived at by Jan 21, we'll protest throughout the state," Prakash Gowda, vice president of Karnataka State Rajini Ji Seva Samiti, told IANS.
He adds that the situation would have been different if the school was run by a private organisation, but it is the school run by the state government. "Had it been a private school, we would have handled this matter on our own. But this is a government-owned school, and therefore, even if we are willing to contribute, there are several protocols to follow. We request the chief minister to renovate the school as soon as possible," he added. It is said that over 500 students are studying in the school, which has been granted Rs 86 lakhs a few years ago for the construction of the same. "We have learnt that about Rs 86 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of a new building, which is yet to be completed. We have already written to the education minister as well as to the governor," Gowda said.

 

Simbu and Nayantara, the one-time lovers, finally meet eye to eye as they started shooting for a movie together a few days ago. They have come together after a long time for Pandiraj's forthcoming untitled flick. After wrapping up two quick schedules, director Pandiraj has started the third schedule recently. Simbu alone had taken part in the first two phases of shooting. Nayantara joined the shoots only on January 6. Sources say that being professional actors, they did not have any issue to shoot their portions. They looked fine together on the sets. Simbu-Nayan Meet Eye To Eye Nayantara and Simbu had earlier worked in Vallavan and they had reportedly fallen in love during the making. After being in love for a few years, they parted ways which shocked everyone. The duo had avoided working with each other. Later, Nayan started seeing Prabhu Deva, but they broke up after planning to settle down in marital bliss. On the other end, Simbu fell in love with Hansika Motwani and we hear that they too have parted ways. Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha was supposed to make her debut in Tamil films a long ago. But it was not possible for some reasons. Now, it appears like the stage is ready for her entry to Kollywood. The buzz says that she is likely to do a special number in Surya's forthcoming film directed by N Lingusamy. Rumours are rife that the makers of the film wanted a big name from Bollywood to do a special number in the forthcoming Tamil film, which stars Samantha in the female lead role. After short-listing a few names, they decided to approach Sonakshi Sinha. They have also offered her a song, but it is not sure whether she has accepted the offer or turned down.
It is said that it will be a peppy number where Surya will also be part of the song. More on the track will be revealed once the actress gives the nod. Sonakshi Sinha was approached for quite a few Tamil films earlier and she has signed Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam. It was during Selvaraghavan's association with the project the actress was roped in. As the director walked out of the film and subsequently delayed, she opted out of the flick due to date issues.
