    it has been raining and a cloudburst too. as usual our roads are not fit for small drizzles and to expect miracles when it pours 200mm in a day. the scene never changes have been witnessing it from the 90’s.

    when you are a trainee or a student who has exams you wade through..i meant kids like my dd..

    ponnanganni keerai/sessile joywees rice, okra sabji, nuts, papaya fruits, dates and groundnut cake


    i have already mentioned thr benefits of this green. good for hair, eyes, skin and also great for iron source.

    do not use greens in rains unless you grow them.

    when the craving to eat something spicy or chatpata hits..and you want to keep the bingeing on pakoras and bajjias or chips at bay.. puffed rice, groundnuts, roasted chana dal and a handful of sev for a bag of puffed rice.

    @Amica thank you. wish i could eat well and exercise too.

    @Sunburst i know there are times when i wjsb there was a easy way to pick a piece with a fork off the screen

    we get ideas watching what is shared

    @satchitananda my friend please start. i am thankful to you for that pic of kalchatti. and the vethakuzhambu at home gets slurped these days.there is so much take away in those traditional ways i say.

    Hi Shanvy, will start from tomorrow. Need to get back to some discipline again. Have stopped using MFP and the pedometer. Am managing to control reasonably well, but not enough to lose more weight. Glad that I have managed to maintain it for a while. Time for phase 2 of the project! :)

    Today morning went to the ophthalmologist. There are two very famous old-time restaurants nearby in Jayanagar - Brahmin's Cafe and Vidyarthi Bhavan. Have spent 21 years trying to convince the hubby to take me there, but to no avail. So today went for an udad wada (which was absolutely divine - it took all my will-power to stop myself from taking a second piece, which was just as well) and a filter coffee to the former and to the latter for their famous dosa after the appointment (am glad I did not eat a second wada - I had some place left for this). So you can see how my diet is going!!! :roflmao:

    A cup of coffee and air-fried potato wedges in the evening and a bowlful of salad with ginger thokku for dinner.
