    Today morning breakfast is red banana n nuts milkshake...
    Then my neighbour gave me a plate full of jackfruit from her native...yummy honey like sweet...a perfect ekadashi treat for me...

    @Gauri03 feeling so low with this summer heat, sweat and cramping.. that feeling seeing your colorful plates.. adopt me as you neighbor..imagine a more plump version of this standing in front of you..(lol i am allergic to fur but anything for being treated with such yummy food with a already calculated calorie loading.. sigh.. keep it coming)

    @satchitananda really that costly.. and here i share home made porridge mix (26 items roasted slowly and milled)free and they say "madam even manna comes a mere second" finally i understand what it really means:fearscream:

    @Gauri03 the same goes for our idli and dosa. Otherday dh and me were discussinf about then peepal and neem twigs for brushing and went on to laugh about the gomutra and cow dung disc thats are always in a sold off status on amazon. We are brainwashed to use colgate or pepsodent while they are using these.

    Our fermented rice water is the best probiotic that is present just like that. And we have weaned off from eating overnight left over foods and pick up yakuit from stores..

    Yucca/tapioca and sweet potatoes or even potatoes are calorie loaded and should not be eaten is what my dd told me until i explained to her that they are great food and if eaten wisely like in olden days it will keep you full and feeling good. Roasted on fire or steamed and just some chilli flakes and salt..

    And do you people also have certain combinations of food. Like our tamarind sour vathakuzhambu and greens or some toor dal chutney and toasted papads. I always admire the way they planned.

    Marwadi cuisine excess ghee and fenugreek probably to kee the system cool and moist as they had more dry winds and heat..
    Kalonji,saunf and ajwain plays a great role in kashmiri cooking right?


    there is so much goodness in our cuisines.. if oil was liberal in some dish they definitely balanced it. And dawats meant very light meals prior to that. In a way they balanced them and what to say about the physical activity.

    And i don't visit the forums..

    @bhucat enjoy. I love the raw jackfruit sabji and just a piece of jackfruit. Never eat more than a piece. But have heard soaked in honey they taste yum.

    Breakfast: Coffee and cheese omelette
    Lunch: Phulka, baingan bharta, dum aloo banarasi, molagutal. (Both vegs were left overs of veg bought from Mast Kalandar and molagutal from yesterday).
