By the way, my phone is not turning on. Can you check? – Rathna asked as she kept looking at her blank phone.

“Give me..” – Khaveer.

“I will prepare dinner for both….” – Rathna went inside the Kitchen.

“Your phone is ready” – Khaveer kept her phone on the table.

“In just five minutes?” – Rathna peeped from the kitchen.

“Yeah. Rathna…I want to spend some time in the balcony. Let me know once the dinner is ready” – Khaveer walked towards the balcony and stood quiet.

“Maa…How can you judge me ma?!! Wont I wish to buy you gifts? How can you me so judgmental ma?” – Khaveer thought.

He still couldn’t bear the way his mom thought.

Am paying for my sins?!! Loving a girl and marrying her is a sin?!!

Why did you pretend to be very sweet when you didn’t want this marriage to happen ma…

Khaveer’s heart raised millions of questions to his mom.

He took a deep breath and swallowed everything.

Just because you didn’t understand me, I cannot distance you ma. Its my duty to take care of you well. Its my responsibility and I want to do that ma.

Khaveer turned back and looked at Rathna who was keen in saueting the vegetables.

“I will not discuss with her anything on my mom. After all she is my mother, how can I bad mouth her?!! Even to my wife…..” -Khaveer stood confused.

“Then what is the solution…..She will neither behave well nor I can distance her” – Khaveer kept both his palm on his forehead.

“And Rathna…….Dont know what to say….She is really rude sometimes….Cant she be quiet at least?.....”

“May be she is bursting after storing too much frustration?”

“But why don’t she adjust? Just for me…..”

“Shall I talk to dad and ask him to stop all his travels? So that me and Rathna can move to a separate house?"

“Why should I force someone….He loves travelling….”

“But how to tackle this….Rathna and mom….”

Khaveer didn’t have answer.

“She needs my presence…She is aged….how can I isolate her….But why cant she be quiet….” – Khaveer gasped slightly.

“Shall we dine?” – Rathna patted him slowly.

“Oh! Ready? Yeah….” – Khaveer followed her.

“Why you are still worried….” – Rathna asked as she sat in front of him.

“Hmmmm” – Khaveer couldn’t share anything.

“By the way….Am sorry….” – Rathna

“For?” - Khaveer

“For shouting the other day….And calling you a puppet….I should know how to talk….I just blurted out everything without even thinking….Stupid of me….” – Rathna

“Hmmm” – Khaveer did not know what to say.

“Am waiting eagerly for next month….” – Rathna

“Why?!!” – Khaveer asked as he sipped water.

“My training ends and I will be back to India. How long you are going to be in Brazil?” – Rathna

“Just a week!” – Khaveer

“Can’t wait to go home and resume everything” – Rathna

Khaveer was surprised. After all these chaos, she still wants to go back to that same house?

“Really?!!” – Khaveer

“Then what…..! You want me to be here always?” – Rathna smiled slightly.

“I know what you are thinking! No worries” – Rathna said and continued eating without discussing the topic further.

She had her own ways to fix her life with Khaveer and make it a happy one.

Khaveer was relived for the moment. May be he felt that everything is going to be fine.

“Am tired! I will sleep now. You come soon” – Khaveer walked towards the bedroom and Rathna nodded her head.

She at once took her phone and noticed a couple of missed calls from Sandhya.

“Sandhya. You there?” – She pinged in the group.

“By the way! Girls!!! I cant wait to tell you this news! Khaveer has traveled all the way from Brazil to Qingdao. Didn’t expect!!! Am too happy!!! Feel like seeing you girls!!! That happy am!!! Didn’t expect at all”

Sandhya read the message and sat in confusion. She is tooo happy!!! Finally something good has happened to her.

“How will I tell her?!!!”

She will kick me if I didn’t tell her. Sandhya called Rathna at once.

Rathna’s face bloomed seeing the call from Sandhya.

“Heyyyyy Sandhya…….” - Rathna smiled from ear to ear.

“What happened to your phone?!!” – Sandhya

“Don’t know! Suddenly everything turned off! Khaveer fixed it now” – Rathna

“Hmmmm” – Sandhya

“What happened…seems to be dull?” – Rathna

“Actually Rathna…..Jaanvi went to her home after meeting us na…” – Sandhya started

“Yeah…What happened?!!!” – Rathna was getting tensed

“She has been beaten up…….” – Sandhya

“Who?!!! Her husband huh?!!!” – Rathna

“Yeah…..” – Sandhya

“What for?!!! I cant believe!! What for he bet?!!!” – Rathna was shocked.

“For meeting us!!” – Sandhya

“What?!!!!” – Rathna got confused

“Yes. For meeting us.” – Sandhya

“But she informed him before starting from home na! But anyway! Why did he beat her?! Did she hit him back or not?!!! Call her now….Lets talk” – Rathna was getting angry

“She is not well” – Sandhya

“What?!!! When did you speak to her then?” – Rathna

“I didn’t speak to her after she left my home. Its her brother who called me at midnight and informed that Jaanvi came back to her mother’s place.” – Sandhya

“I really don’t understand anything Sandhya! What happened to Venkatesh suddenly! He was good na….They were happy na” – Rathna

“Yeah…Even I don’t understand!!! Couldn’t talk to Jaanvi! Her brother said she is not well. Her phone was switched off yesterday” – Sandhya

“Hey! Are you mad?! Cant you go and check?!!!” – Rathna yelled

“Her brother said Jaanvi will call me back!! Seems her parents are shattered and the house is a mess. Her brother didn’t want me to come. Her parents have kept the issue as a secret!” – Sandhya finished

“What are you talking?!! What is happening there?! Let me dial her number now” – Rathna

Rathna cut Sandhya’s call and dialled Jaanvi. There was no response.

Rathna was getting confused and angry.

“Jaanvi!!! Are you there?” – Rathna pinged in the group.

“She will get back to us Rathna…!!! Lets wait!” – Sandhya

“I am shocked after reading your messages Sandhya!!! What happened to Jaanvi” – Lekha came in

“I really don’t understand anything!!!” – Rathna

“Am here girls” – Jaanvi pitched in finally.
