    Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, the South Asian Heart Center at El Camino Hospital is dedicated to dealing with the problem of heart disease in the South Asian Community. Scarlet Night, the South Asian Heart Center’s annual fund-raising gala event is coming up soon, on March 24, 2012. Attendees at this year’s event will join Stanford Professor and New York Times best-selling author, Dr. Abraham Verghese and NBC news anchor Raj Mathai for an exciting evening featuring networking, casino, auctions, entertainment and an exquisite banquet. You can find more details on the event at Heart Disease Prevention | Heart Disease Risk Factors | South Asian Heart Center.

Since the South Asian Heart Center is a non-profit organization, we rely on volunteers to help us organize and run Scarlet Night smoothly. We are looking for volunteers to help us with things like registration, live auction etc. at the event. If you are above the age of 18, we invite you to be a volunteer at the event this year. All volunteers will need to be available on event day (March 24th). They will also be required to attend a 3 hour in-person training session on March 18th at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

If you are interested in volunteering for this event or want more information about the volunteer opportunities we have available, please send an email with your name and contact information to sahcvolunteer@gmail.com and we will contact you shortly.

    Cheers,
    Sheena
