    Hi I am 33 year married lady with a 10 year son I am looking for friends in Toronto. I am kind of new to Toronto and would like to meet with families or even ladies prefarably having kids.

    I was only hoping someone would reply. I believe a lots of people have been in toronto for years. Can you guys give me tips how to make friends in toronto, when you do not have any contacts and people who might know you from the past.

    Welcome to Toronto! This is exactly how we felt when we came to Toronto. Everybody is soooo busy, that people do not have time to give you instructions if you are lost:spin. Everybody is busy with their own lives, we even have to be careful to make a phone call. Anyway please do keep in touch. Hope I am of some help to you.

    It was nice of you to get back to me. In Toronto it feels nice. That is what I miss most about India. Talking and meeting friends as I am a very social person. It was nice to get in touch with you, which area of Toronto do you live.

    The easiest way is through online groups focussed on families or women. Here you can participate in discussions and then hopefully make friends

    Do you identify yourself with any particular religious affiliation? I'm Hindu, and I've found that most of the temples associate themselves with a very specific niche of the Indian/Desi community, and this may perhaps be an avenue for you, as most of those who attend their temple appear to me to be very family-based and quite welcoming.
