Life's Practicality - வாழ்க்கையின் யதார்த்தம்

Traffic Signal and Bus stops have become favorite place for beggars, especially for women with little children. Why on earth does this happen? Can't they get any work, at least as a servant maid? What is the future of their children? A lot of questions arises in my mind but not even one has any answer. Those made me write the following lines..

வாழ்க்கையின் யதார்த்தத்தில் தொலைந்து போகின்றது புன்னகை
நடைபாதை இங்கே பலருக்கு வாழும்பாதை
கொசுவலை இங்கே பலருக்கு வீடு
ஆற்றுவெள்ளத்தில் அடித்து செல்லப்படுவது குடிசைகளும் தான்
அழுக்குத்துணியில் பொதிந்து வைத்திருக்கும் அழகுப்பாப்பா
சிக்னல் நிறுத்தத்தில் பிச்சை எடுக்கும் அம்மா


Translation:
Smile is lost in life's practicality
Platforms are livingplaces for many here
Mosquitonet has become house to many here
Huts are also dragged away in floods
Cute kid is wrapped in dirty cloth
Mother is begging at traffic signal
