    Dear Ladies,
    Creating this thread to re-start my weight loss. With the support from this site, I actually lost close to 30 pounds few years back. But due to work stress, did not concentrated on myself and put on lot of weight.

    The dresses that I bought 3 years back won't fit any more, most of them brand new never used. I started realizing now how I used to be very healthy and how I am looking now.

    Well past is past...I decided to lose weight and get back in shape no matter what.
    Any body interested to join, please join and motivate each other.

    My current weight: 187 pounds ( Dec 29, 2017 )
    Goal Weight: 150 pounds
    First Goal Weight: 179 pounds ( Jan 31 2018 ).

    What did you do to lose 30pounds back then? I am 176 pounds right now and have to lose 30 pounds as well.

    If you eliminate 300 calories everyday for 1 year you will drop 30 lbs.

    Cut 150 cal from food (remember even fruits and veggies also have calories!)

    Burn 150 cal from exercise (lifting weights helps ... start light, roughly 5lbs)

    During my weight loss journey I lost the glow of my face and my hair also become thin. Can someone suggest me the measures of avoiding that. I am scared of starting it again due to this.

    Lot of fruits and veggies.

    Also protein such as nuts, cottage cheese, daal.

    Single fried egg on olive oil 2 to 3 times a week (egg yellow is healthy, in limited amounts)

    And if you are non veg then lean meat such as chicken, turkey. I'd go for lamb or goat meat as well. 3 to 6 ounces of meat, i.e. 3oz is size of deck of playing cards.

    And exercise brings glow to face ... don't forget water!

    Thanks dear...I am vegetarian but can eat eggs. Thinking of starting it again soon. Will update when start.
