I am missing too many clues and I didn't know your response was a clue. Dull mind. Options: Like the puzzle/Cryptic clue/wait for the answer. Viswa
nah. Its not a direct reference clue and dull mind is me, can't think of any crptic words. I'm in a happy mood today, think mode switched off temporarily!
Anyone else still solving this latest puzzle? If not, I will release the answer by the end of the day. Please let me know if you are still working on it. @kaniths, @PriyaSrini, @sokanasanah & @Gauri03 solved the puzzle so far. Viswa
Answer to the Puzzle # 7995 (V-34) "Cognitive Computing" Row 1 - Image 1 - To derive the word "Cognitive" Row 2 - Image 4 - To derive the word "Computing" Row 1 - Image 2 - Air-India Maharaj to indicate the two letters "AI" that also means "Artificial Intelligence", one of the scientific disciplines Row 1 - Image 3 - Signal or Traffic Light to indicate the other discipline called "Signal Processing" Row 1 - Image 3 - Cognitive Computing platforms encompass many technologies and one of them is "Machine Learning" Row 2 - Image 1 - Reasoning - another technology Row 2 - Image 2 - Natural Language Processing Row 2 - Image 3 - Speech Recognition - Sign language description for hearing impaired Row 1 Image 1 + Row 2 Image 4 = Cognitive Computing. These two images give the answer directly which I mentioned in my responses earlier. I also started a thread called "Watson" simultaneously to give the clue elsewhere. I have already recognized those who solved this puzzle and thank you for attempting this puzzle and double thanks to those who gave cryptic clues. I missed recognizing the cryptic clues given by @kaniths and @sokanasanah earlier until they pointed it out. Now I need to work on possible cryptic clues before publishing a puzzle to understand them. 1) "Maharaj bowing to the tin overlords" - @kaniths 2) "You Tube videos of cats" - @PriyaSrini 3) "I am afraid, I can't do that" - @sokanasanah Viswa
Re: Clue for Puzzle-Post-# 7995: "I am sorry Dave (Viswa), I'm afraid I can't do that" is a famous quote from Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film "2001 A Space Odyssey". Uttered by HAL 9000, the onboard computer, it might well be the first and most famous self-assertion by an AI on film, coming about a decade after the term was coined in 1955 by John McCarthy, a computer scientist at Stanford. Longer version for context: Open the pod-bay door please HAL. Aftermath: I know I've made some very poor decisions recently.
Soka, Your cryptic answer went above my head initially and even after you threw the curved ball at me through a message it was much harder for me to decode. I ended up Google searching to find out your answer. Even if I had prepared for the possible cryptic answers, I couldn't have figured out your answer. Viswa
Well, if you don't know the quote or if it does not immediately pop into mind, then it can get tricky - but then, Google is allowed and expected, so that's all good. The trick, of course, is to search leaving out the word 'Viswa'.
Iffy about one clue but... Sau+ saal pehle, Humein tum se dar tha... Aaj bhi hai aur kal bhi rahega....?
