    Good pics and a wonderful thought of growing vegetables in balocony, it would be good if any 1 guid me with kitchen garden say, tips on growing vegetables in containers,taking care as they are grown in balcony, etc.

    Yes practically you can grow tomatoes, cucumber, chillies,mint, parsley and corainder in a confined space or even in balcony.

    My garden has been hibernating for a while. Initially had a lot of insects attacking the plants. Then took up paining of the house which went on for an entire month. So my composting and gardening were pushed down in my priority list. Have been hibernating myself after all that work!

    Finally got back to compost harvesting this week and have planted red bhindi, purple capsicum, lettuce, karela and cucumbers. Let us see what happens.

    Meanwhile have got tremendous joy out of my walking iris plant. For me it is almost a 'heritage' plant. It was gifted to my sis by my late uncle from our family home in Kerala. She gave me a couple of cuttings which died out. Finally the third attempt has borne fruit, sorry, flowers. :-D
