    how to make kanji powder at home for my 6 month old baby. can i add badam cashew in it?

    I had given this combination to my baby from 3 months to 12 months. 1 glass of puianga arisi ( Boiled raw rice- what we use for idli) 1/4 glass moong dal ( yellow colour) mix both together and dry roast in a kadhai just till it gets nicely hot- need not get brown. and grind it to powder in mixito a nice powder. Put 2 spoon of this powder and water and boil till the liquid becomes transulent. Mix with boiled milk / sugar or if your baby likes sambhar / rasam put salt and give with that.

    You can also start oats with half potato boiled as kanji and grind in mixi and give . Very filling for them.

    All depends upon the taste of ur child. Enjoy ur time with ur kid .
