பூ(4)த்யை ப(4)வேன்மம பு(4)ஜங்க(3) ச(H)யாங்க(3)னாயா:

நற்குடி பிறந்த பெண்கள் நாயகன் தனைப் பார்த்தாலும்
நாணத்தால் முகம்புதைத்து நாலிலோர் பாகம் பார்ப்பார்!
பற்பல நினைத்தபோதும் பாதிக்கண் திறந்துமூடி
பரம்பரைப் பெருமை காப்பார் !
பாற்கடல் அமுதே! நீயும் அற்புத விழிகளாலே
அச்சுத முகுந்தன் மேனி அப்படிக் காண்பதுண்டு
ஆனந்தம் கொள்வதுண்டு !
இப்பொழு(து) அந்தக் கண்ணை என்னிடம் திருப்பு தாயே !
இருமையும் செழித்து வாழ இகத்தினில் அருள்வாய் நீயே !

Aameelithaaksha madhigamya mudaa mukundam
Aanandakanda manimaesha mananga thanthram
Aakaelkarasthithi kaneenika pakshma naethram
Bhoothyai bhavaenmama bhujanga s(h)ayaanganaayaa:

Chaste women are very shy to look at their husbands continuously and noticeably .That holds good for Devi also !
So, she looks at Him with discreet looks ,unnoticed(by others) and furtively.
Even that makes the Lord very happy.
Devi, who resides in the Lod's chest! If you give me even a momentary glance, I will be blessed with abundance in life !

அதிசய நீலமாலை அன்னநின் விழிகள் கண்டு
அண்ணலும் காலந்தோறும் ஆனந்தம் கொள்வதுண்டு !
பதுமநேர் முகத்தினாளே! பதுமத்தில் உறையும் செல்வி!
பார்கடல் மயக்கும் கண்ணை பேர்த்தெடுத்தென்மேல் வைத்தால்
பிழைப்பன்யான் அருள்செய்வாயே,
பேரருள் ஒருங்கேகொண்ட பிழையிலாக் கமலத்தாயே !

Baahvantharae murajitha: s(h)ritha kausthubhae yaa
HaaraavaLeeva harineelamayee vibhaathi
Kaamapradaa bhagavathO(a)pi kataakshamaalaa
KalyaNamaavahathu mae kamalaalayaa

The jewel called Kausthubha is decorating the neck of the Lord, who killed the demon called Madhu.
The ornament is made of blue beads, comparable only to the eyeballs of Devi.
Devi's glances give immense pleasure to the Lord.
If only that glance is directed to me, I will be blessed with prosperity.
