Dear IL, i am bit confused about date of krishna janamashtmi . today i have to do janamashtmi fasting or tomorrow?? pooja today midnight or tomorrow? Thank You
Janmashtami is to be celebrated on 25th August midnight. However we do it in the evening after lamp is lit for convenience. You could check the site www.drikpanchang.com where they give the exact timings of fast and performing puja, if you are following strictly. At our place , we just perform the puja on the Ashtami thithi, which i have mentioned. Hope this helps
Thanks for reply dear.just now i checked in net Ashtmi timing starts today night 10:17pm and ends tomorrow night 8:07pm.so i think today night i have to do pooja..?? not sure yet

Krishna janmashtami is on 25th at midnight and the fasting has to be ended at 1.55 p.m in 26th. Happy Janmastami!
