    Hi Sandhya,

You are right , those infertility treatments in USA are very expensive. As suggested by IL's India is a less costly in this regard. My sister in law couldn't concieve for seven years. She recently had a baby girl, my precious niece got concieved through IUI procedure though. She is 25 days old now and healthy baby. Even cost is expensive there too but compertivly to US in India its much less expensive. But I don't know if you and your husband can spare some extra time to stay in india. Which you both have to decide. My sister in law dr name is Bala, she is iInfertility specialist in sector 21, chandigarh. She is very famous doctor. Some knowing families had a succssful case from that doctor, so my sister in law got treatment from her also and by god's blessing they are blessed with child. Wish you good luck. As far I have did search in US no insurance company covers Infertility treatments. Good luck and baby dust on you.

    IVF & Green Card

We are thinking of going to India for IVF and are considering Dr.Geetha Haripriya in Chennai.
    1. Have any of U from the US gone to India for IVF?
    2. What has your experience been with the above doc?
    3. How long after you get pregnant, do they ask you to stay. This is crucial for me as I am a GC holder and if I have the baby there, I cannot bring the child to US.
    Please advise

Hi, Sorry, won't be able to help with the doctor status as I am notfrom southern part of India. You can get the successful cases list from the hospital though. But yes in India these days treatment for infertility is very reasonble and has successful rate too. My bhabhi recently had baby but through IUI in first time. As far as you are on GC, so discuss with your doctor so that you will have a good idea that how long you have to stay after IVF procedure successfully done. Also contact immigration lawyer in USA before you go to India . I personally won't take a chance leaving kid behind though. Wish you a good luck.

You do have the option of getting a child into US eventhough that child is born outside US condition being the mother(should be a GC Holder) enters US within 2 years of the birth of the child. The child is automatically stamped GC at the port of entry. I dont have much idea exactly what all the documentation you need to carry with you while entering US with your baby. You can search this in google. I read about this in murthy.com. An immigration attorney will be able to give you exact details.

    Thanks

    Hope this helps

MurthyDotCom : Sponsoring Family Members to Come to the U.S.

Once both husband and wife are permanent residents, they may face the decision whether to have their children born in the U.S. or in the home country. Some people chose to have their children in the home country to be close to their families. Children born abroad to permanent resident mothers are permanent residents, if certain conditions are met. The requirements are that such a child must be brought to the U.S. on the mother's first return trip, which must occur before the child is two years of age. As of this writing, the child in this situation does not need a visa. The necessary paperwork is processed at the port of entry, based on the mother's permanent resident status and the child's birth certificate.

    Re: IVF & Green Card

    Hi:

We were in the same boat before. Yes we went to India and had IVF at Apollo Hospitals Chennai (Teynampet). The doctor's name is Dr. B.Sharat. We got successful in the first attempt itself. My wife took birth control pills in US itself for about one month (based on the consulation from India doctor), and went directly to Chennai. She took injections for about 3 weeks to simulate ovaries. I went there after 3 weeks, and stayed for two months. Due to god's grace, the treatment got successful in the first attempt itself.

You can apply for the Advance Parole 30 days before going to India, so that its legal to stay there for atleast two years (I believe). We had green-card during the India visit. But we didn't apply for the advance parole. My wife was there in India close to 6 months, and returned back to US, and had delivery done here. My daughter is around 7 weeks old now.

In India IVF treatments are very good, and we heard that at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai there were around 26 IVF cycles got successful during the same period when we went for treatment.

We took a furnished house for rent for about 3 months in Chennai. Luckily my company accepted me to work remotely from India.

Good luck with your treatment and you are taking a nice step to go to India for the IVF treatment. Hope to hear good news from you soon.

    Re: IVF & Green Card

    Hi there

I have been to Dr.Geetha Haripriya . She is quite successful. Previously I had several IUI 's done by another doctor in coimbatore. But i didn't concieve. Then i went to Dr.Geetha where she suggested me to go for an IUI for one more attempt and if i dont concieve we would go with laproscopy to see if there are any problems regarding the tubes. By laproscopy they found i had fibriods and polycystic ovaries so that has been removed. She has asked me to take 2 months break and if i concieve naturally within these 2 months tht's fine, otherwise i will be going back to her.

My sister-in-law had an IVF done by her, she concieved and just now delivered a baby.

But we both ( myself and my sister-in-law ) are not from united states. As your question for anybody from US gone to india is still not answered i believe.

One more thing Dr.Geetha haripriya personally does all the treatments and operations. In few hospitals they dont. That's something which i like about her.

This is my personal experience with her.

    Good Luck.

    jay.

IVF in India and delivery in US

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and I have found the information to be helpful. I have been married for nearly 4 years and trying to conceive for 2.5 years. I have PCOS and have tried natural cycles with clomid and also IUI with clomid. Now we want to go for IVF in India.

    My questions are -
From personal experience can anyone recommend good fertility clinics in Hyderabad where IVF is done?
Has anyone had IVF done in India and delivered the baby in US? Does the insurance support this pregnancy and delivery?
How long does an IVF cycle take from first doctor meeting? I have all the initial tests results with me.

    Thanks for all your help.

Good luck to all ladies trying to conceive.....

    Jaana

    Hi Jaana,
Don' t worry, keep hope on god, he will surely answer your prayer.By the way though i don't know much information on this, let me try to inform whatever i do know.

I know in Chennai G.G hospital is very expert in this type of treatment. One of my relatives had this before 13yrs.One of my far friend who was in CA(U.S), as her IVF done here was failed.

They planned to do in India(APOLLO HOSPITALS),stayed there for 3-4months i guess, her hubby went when they need him for the treatment.

She too had PCOS.By god's grace it got clicked, she got twins,.But as one is well grown and other is not, they removed one foetus which is not grown well.

She was there till her 5thmonth and travelled to U.S,delivered here safely a girl baby:)

    All the best...

    Regards,
    USHA.
