Hi all,

I am planning to go for an IVF. i did it already in india, but without success. I am starting this thread so that people who underwent through the ivf can share their experiences and sufferings and also their successes. has anybody undergone an ivf in US? if so, how does it differ from india? is it good here?

Re: IVFs and infertility

Hi Mrudula,

I am trying next month for IVF at BACC Bangalore.I have a few doubts.
Can you please tell me after the initial tests done,
1. From which day do they start down regulation of harmones ?
2. When does the IVF cycle begin?
3.How many weeks does it take from the date of down regulation to the date of egg implantation?

Please help me.

thanks
Priyanka

Hi mrudula,

You didnot answer my questions.

My experience at BACC is different.I already had my IUI twice over there.I did like BACC.You go anywhere ,just have to be patient.

Hello,

I am tryiyng for children for last three years and i am unable to concieve.

Recently we went to infertility specialists and they recommended us to go to

IVF.My husband sperm motility is 42%( normal it sholud be greater then 50%)

and strict morphology is 4%.(Borderline).Our insurance does not cover this

tests.what alternative steps we should follow to cover these treatements.

Different thoughts are coming to my mind wheather i will be successfull with

IVF or not.

I am eager to know if any one are successful with this type of situation.

Please let me what i need to do to prepare for iVF.

Hi,
Dont worry there are lots of options today...
Have you ever thought of doing IVF in India, there in India it is equally good as it is in USA.

I have heard Dr Malpani in india is very good and lots of people go to him from here. You can also research some other good Doctors on the net.

Keep praying.
All your prayers will be answered sooner or later.

regards,
SBC.

Hi Sandhya,

You are right, most of the health insurance do not cover feritility treatments. Especially IVFs work out to be very costly if you start spending from your pocket.

I agree with SBC that you should think of IVF treatment in India. A friend of mine went through this last year in G G Hospital in Chennai and she consulted Dr. Kamala Selvaraj (Gemini Ganesan's daughter) and she is blessed with a girl baby now. Normal pregnancy and normal delivery. This Doctor seems to be a stalwart in this field of OB/Gyn and also a lady with lucky hands is the belief.

Here is the link for that hospital - GG Hospital Chennai, Dr.Kamalaselvaraj Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Try to consider this hospital.

Good luck to you. Do not worry, we wish you come back to share the announcement of your new arrival sooner.

Regards,
Kanmani

Hi Sandhya,
The idea to try IVF in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />India is good. There are other options too. Why don't to consult andrologist or urologist what causes your husband's problem and is it curable. Some times small expanded testicular veins can lead to low fertility in man. And it is completely curable.

Other idea I can sugest you to ask about IUI instead of IVF, usually people start with this before going to invitro as it is less harmful for the women and also much less costly.
