Well penned, RGS. Time and tide waits for no man (nor for women, to be fair!!!). It is nice, in middle age to enjoy a blissful state of timelessness, for what is time? It is a dimension experienced only in this existence. Time can be warped launching us into different dimensions, parallel existences, forward or backward. Time is not absolute. Of course, until we raise ourselves to that state of consciousness, where we can experience this, time is of the essence. I just realized that there is very little time until the end of the month to announce the next lost of winners. So time to get ticking with the clock once again. Painful coming out of my time warp!!! :-D
Dear rgs Beautiful poem and I loved the above paragraph especially. It is too easy to waste not only our time and also others too. Being mindful and spending each minute as a golden time would see us go through the steps of life successfully. It also reminds me, primary schools is this part of the world allocate minutes as per child's behaviour and reward them as a golden time on Fridays. My boys look forward to that every week Vani
Thanks for your feedback Satchi. Ah! Its time we do something that we have to! Isn't it nice to always be there, feeling more useful and having our tasks time-bound? This brings in a purpose - initially we feel stressed and as we grow up, we seem to like the little nuances that surface as we do the thing we intend to complete. The worthiness of life too, is measured in the units of time. -rgs
Thanks Vani for your like and feedback to this post. And coming to the golden time - Don't we all like to receive gifts? Whats wrong in gifting ourselves some quality time? That is what I've been thinking and borrowed and downloaded some books to start with. Let me see how it goes. Besides we need time to introspect where our time went and many don't do that. Yet, I feel its important to realize that and curb the useless activities that kill time. -rgs
superb. timely words, timely entry, timely raised questions, cooked for right time, working in different time zones, all these have denser meaning and change the complexion of minutes ticking by. time for sportsmn, time for contestant, time for exam time for interview, time before announcement of results are all heavy epoch making, emotion churning. William Shakespeare beautifully expressed the quantum of time beautifully in many of his drams and poems the chief one being through the character Jcques where he monologues "Seven Ages of Man". from infant, to school boy, to a lover, to soldier, to wise man {Judge} to old man with all faculties intact, to again helpless child. the quantum of time expands when one awaits his/her Lover in the garden or in a rendezvous, during together the time flies away. given time per se, the effect varies according to situation in which a person is caught or trapped or catch 22 situation etc. time is supposed to be essence in contract. even for dough (idli or dosa) time is essence. Kudos @rgsrinivasan you have in your poem abridged The time and given the essence befitting the modern scene. Regards. god Bless Us All.
Thanks Thyagarajan Sir. Happy to read your nice feedback to Satchi's response and for myself too. -rgs
