Hi All,I have a very basic doubt .Can a woman be pregnant without having a full intercourse?I meant what are the chances of getting pregnant while still trying for intercourse to happen for the first time?Is she supposed to follow contraception methods before getting succeeded in IC?Kindly throw some light on this.

    Hi Spuppala,
If the IC is happening around the fertile days, If ejaculation is done, there are chances that it will lead to pregnancy! Otherwise chances are less. So, in those fertile days, if pregnancy is not required, can try for contraceptives for being in safer side!
    Hope this helps!
    Take care.

    Hi Vasu,

thanks a lot for the response.Do you mean that pregnancy is possible even there is not a full intercourse?
Basically what my doubt is-If a couple are trying to succeed in IC(for the first time to happen) and even though they are half the way is it possible for that to lead to pregnancy?I mean are they suppose to follow contraception even before the success of IC?

    Hi Spuppala,
Suppose the man has released sperms outside & then continuing IC might immediately, In that case there can be a escaped sperm which would enter women and can cause pregnancy! As long as sperms doesn't enter the women, there are minimal chances for pregnancy! So, if the one didn't complete the IC(didn't release sperm in women), there are less chances!
    Hope this clears!
