Is it acceptable for an Indian woman 50 years of age to begin a degree program ?

Why have you decided to give up the idea? First of all, I would like to say, "Thumbs up" to you for having the courage to "consider" the idea in the first place. Not many have that! And since you say its your dream, I was curious to know what the "Hurdles" are to realizing this dream? Whatever they maybe I am sure you can overcome them and we ILites can surely help if you share them. No dream is unworthy of pursuing and every dream is a shame if wasted....

Why not? Let us know what hurdles you are facing and we might help you out.

Dont get discouraged by comments of near ones or friends. If you have the will, you can certainly finish the course. The very same people who are discouraging you now will look up to you after you have achieved what you have wanted to.

It is an interesting area. There are lot of options to pursue.
