    My guess will be 'no lid'
    As cooking theory says- no lid = crunchy and with lid = soggy/ soft

    I came back to write that I have successfully included cabbage in my diet.
    I bring it home, take few leaves from top- off, and cut into palm size- very haphazardly and store in fridge. I am making a mixed vegetable - as I diet food, and big chunks of cabbage work very well with that. Also, if needed, I can cut a the cabbage into smaller pieces, when needed.
    I do not the core, anymore.
