    I followed the link and see that the show is going to be from Apr 18th to 20th in Barton Springs Road.

    Hi Kavi,

    I just came back from the gems show in Austin.

    The bead strings - ruby, emerald, saphire, coral, jade etc. - those uncut ones are all semi-precious. Even the coral and jade that comes in Rose, Tulip, leaf shapes also doesn't seem to be very pure.

    Crystals in different colors are available in different prices within the same stall and they say the price varies with the cut.

    I got a crystal string that has about 50-60 crystals that costed $20. But the same person had similar crystal string for $10 and even as low as $3. So I guess the price varies with the quality. If you place those strings side by side you will see the difference in the cut and shine.

    Similarly, emerald and ruby uncut strings were available for $80 as well as $20. You will see the quality difference yourselves.

    In my opinion, they are the worth the buy to build with silver-dipped gold and one-gram gold matching pendants and ear-rings and wear them once in a while with matching dresses.
