Infertility Clinics in chennai 2015 - i am too confused as where to go

Hi all,

My name is Sudha.

I have been married for 10 years. Trying for a kid for 5 years.

No medical issues diagnosed for me and husband, so unexplained infertility.
I Had 6 failed IUIs , i was getting very stressed out due to the expectations and practically used to cry every month when AF arrived. For past 2 years stopped all medical attempts and tried naturally with lot of temple visits and fasting.
My time hasnt come yet.

Now in the process of finding the right place to go for advanced treatments.
I have gone through the list of doctors shared in IL in earlier threads,
Top choices seem to be (GG, Prashanth, Iswarya, Shrushti) but the list is not updated one, in the sense all these famous places were good earlier before few years but recently i heard as many people have this issue of infertility and these places are crowded with as many as 100 appointments per day and heard lot of negative reviews about them and it is very scary to decide where to go. On top of the pain of waiting for a kid this seems to make me sleepless.

My doc advised me to go to Cloudnine in Tnagar. I hear they are famous in bangalore but not sure how they are here. Felt it might be a good idea to go to a less crowded place, in case they have a full time embryologist.

My only ask is i am actually very healthy (i used to run marathons and do long distance cycling - all stopped now and hate taking unwanted medicines in general but in my situation, i know i cant avoid it, but if by god's grace i do conceive , i would like to be treated like a normal pregnant lady and not be given lot of unwanted injections and medications. I hear that in most places they give lot of injections post conception and also never give a chance for normal deliver. I would like to go to a doctor who talks and explains, gives proper care.

Please please .........Can you ladies , who have gone through infertility treatments in chennai in the past 2 years , help me with latest information on the centers and recommend based on your experience?

you can try Joseph nursing home in chetpet. both husband and wife are doctors. Rekha kurian and Joseph kurian.. please try them.. they are specialised doctors for infertility.. one of my friend who didnt had child for 6yrs after marriage.. got a baby boy after getting treatment here.. in fact i too went to this hosp only.. but not for infertility treatment.. but for pregnancy.. so i suggest this.. try them..

Hi Sudha,
I am not an expert in suggesting hospitals.. But still after years of search learnt some basic stuffs in IVF hospital search.
This is just my opinion, other peoples preference might change.
I know that prasanth, GG & all those IVF centers are over crowded as more people are forced to infertility treatments and IVFs. Most doctors after IVF pregnancy tend to opt for c-section as it turns out to be a precious baby(costly too). Even i wished to have a normal pregnancy, doc din want to try for that. Prepared for cesarean after water break by 35+ weeks. In GG i heard they do elective C by 33 weeks and keep LO in neonatal care for 2+ weeks as compulsory. My DD was in my arm when my senses are back an we din give her formula too. Its all personal choices and the hospital, doc and nurse support.
I too had lot of meds with pregnancy, but it was far less compared to other IVF pregnant ladies. I developed skin allergy and higher sensitivity (after first IVF, something disturbed my system). May be that was the reason for lesser medicines. I tend to develop lot of rashes and so on.. Its a very big story...
After IVF, people will try to limit your choices!

I believe in less crowded place for an IVF. Or if you could notice lot of personal attention given personally by the doc who is going to do the ET and ER, crowd is ok. One disadvantage with crowd is you will have lot of waiting time, you need to be patient. My mom is intolerant to waiting who accompanied me for all the IVFs. In the last time to pass time, i used to play in mobile, chat with nurses, other supporting staffs, not with other patients. Never want to compare my stuffs with others. From my side i wanted to correct some of the mistakes from the last time.

Other important thing is embroyologist. He/She need to be in house or be present until your transfer or collection is done, thats until all processing is done for your belongings. Individual attention from them is must too.

Choose something that suits you.. You might have some personal wishes or choice too.. Go for a pre visit and then finalize the hospital for you.

Hi, though am not sure abt all hospitals said here, but heard from few that prasanth has given success, but the medicine dosages are high and every one whom i know from prasath had to take injections thru out preg and had sum complication in delivery.though they are happy mothers now.

dr sarath from apollo,greams is good,,, he doesnt put u with high dosages... he knows what is gud for our body, though am his patient for more than a year now, yet to c success... as u said u have unexplained infertility, if interested u can try ponan poosari ayurvedic treatment, no side effects...heard of many success story and i am on track with that... incase u r interested let me know i can help u.

Thanks for the reply, even i am on siddha medicines for 4-5 months now.
The thing is due to age we dont have the liberty to wait for few years and these alternative medicines take more time
I have heard of doc sarath.... hmm will see.

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply in spite of you having to take care of you baby.
I totally agree with you that famous and crowded places are not so ideal.
So i am staying away from GG, Prashanth etc..

In these gap of 3-4 days i met up with 2 doctors. One is doc Sathya in seethapathy and another is a distant relative dr. nirmala jaishankar in first met apollo, she adviced me to go to a place called miracle in kilpauk.

Meanwhile i was browsing and somehow i came across this place called Jananam in neelangarai chaired by Dr. Vani , though this is 2 year old place in chennai she seems to be experience and very kind in responding to queries and treating patients. Donno if you believe in intuitions , i somehow felt very positive about the place and doctor, they have a good embryologist i hear, reviews are good about this place but not sure (as these days lot of people write reviews with fake profiles)
Can you please let me know if you have any idea about this place?
