Oh I totally agree. There is so much of 'you must believe what I believe' cult, its amazing.

Its actually very spiritual... when you believe and something and it then results in a positive feelings like calm and kind and strength; these positive feelings are good for YOU and next the others around. I think thats the God people talk about in any and all religions.

Counting on evil ( negative feelings, fear, anger, sad etc)to be capable of ruining the situations is giving power to it. Evil only gets power as much as you give it. Although its only human to be negative sometime, we need to be conscious on how it slowly gains power from you.

This might be the reason why many psychologists and monks and just some more content and happy people ask us to be neutral to things and get off the negative wagon.

 

Perfectly fine that you prefer to assume that way. But its equally true that some posts are troll ones (nothing to do with blackmagic/belief-in-evil posts, just in general I’m sayin), and in such cases we can and do call it out. Anyway to each her/his own, Cheers.

Last week i happened to see a post from an atheist in a different forum. He went on to say things like how foolishness it is to believe God, depend on faith and do spiritual things like fasting, pooja & all.

I got furious at first, then accepted his beliefs and moved on.
He did not target me or tried to do anything to me via his post.
It was his personal opinion & he is entitled for it.
Who am i to criticize him for what he chose to believe. After all, his fundamental right to believe or not to believe in God should not depend on my green signal. So i ignored his post and moved on.

I would have clarified my points had he interacted with me directly on this subject. His general thread is not for me, but for those like minded or open minded people to have a healthy discussion.

This is what called respect to diversity.

We can't dictate everyone to think and act the way as we want.

If you can't tolerate certain threads, don't participate.
If you feel they are offensive, report.

You need help if you are offended that easily for a general thread.

 

How many more threads need to be cluttered with same repeated lecture ? How many more threads need to be closed ?
All this to prove a point in online forum . Let this community grow

This line of yours applies to you too, you know - "We can't dictate everyone to think and act the way as we want."
