    my mom is using it,
    she says the following:
    1. not much electricity consumption
    2. gas price is more( unavailability too), so we can use this for some type of works( like making hot water for drinking, pet foods,coffee/tea making )
    3. cooks very fast
    4. set up time for each time.
    5. in india we generally boil milk often, so we can make use of this induction stove just to save gas.

    disadvantages:
1.it needs stainless steel vessel but we generally use aluminium cooker, the major disadvantages
even she bought stainless steel cooker but she dint liked it, so the cooker is for making pet food:)
    2. stainless steel cookers are more expensive than traditional cookers.
3.nowadays no proper electricity, they shutting down often.

Induction stove is a boon because of the LPG demand issue.I particularly use induction for making tea. When done through induction ,the tea is stronger and the time taken is comparatively lesser than LPG stove.

For boiling drinking water, milk, shallow frying, making porridge induction is the best as the boiling process is faster.

    Hi Friends,

After a long time, I have come again. Induction Stove is really very useful.
    Less of electricity consumption.
What you need is a flat bottom utensils (eversilver flat bottom bowls).
    Cooks very fast.
We can save our gas consumption.
Above all, we have timer to set according to the dishes we cook.

    Really good for office goers!

I learnt from one of my friends that the switch of the induction cooker should be switched off only after the fan inside the cooker stops (You can hear the sound of the fan).

I use a Ceramic top induction hob for cooking and I must say its amazing.
Most advantages have already been posted already. But I prefer it for deep frying or making sweets simply cos you can maintain temperature perfectly. Besides its very easy to maintain and clean too.

I actually do use a small Aluminium pressure cooker on mine and it works fine. Its just that any vessel you use on it should have a flat base.
