Indian school or US school w/Gifted&Talented program?

I'll ask around for those cities...I'm sure there will be other parents who have suggestions swell. But be prepared...I do know those schools have looooong waiting lists. I know a few people who were involved in the reworking of the syllabus in a couple of different states...they were of the opinion that CBSE is the most child friendly syllabus. Plus I got to observe some of the training sessions for teachers in CBSE schools...a lot of work has gone into the assessment and evaluation piece.

I don't know how far this is true but I did hear that the math/science component in CBSE is of a higher standard in comparison...I can't vouch for it though.

School education is always better in USA ( i can even say 1000 times bcz of relevant curriculum, faculty, facilities & many more factors)than India.India is more of hype.Even after 100 yrs India will be same as it is now.some body was saying lot of efforts were going on to make Indian education or CBSE better. Its not a fact & i can even say its a big joke. In india school curriculum is based on Emotions,politics & religious beliefs not based science or reason. how can u expect education to get better if 50% to 82% faculty are hired not based on merit but based on reservations??? Bringing ur child in usa makes them a global professional.In India very few international schools have good faculty.

Between ICSE & CBSE, always prefer ICSE with out any second thought

IN CBSE there is too much stress on Hindi , which is not necessary. In ICSE there is more stress on English
CBSE social studies curriculum is political motivated ( You can never find names of south Indian kingdoms,Real heroes of Indian independence,blunders of successive Indian Governments or Congress leaders like Nehru after independence to this day) ( might be bcz CBSE is controlled by central govt)
For the students who might get interested in commerce in the future or wants to pursue a career in commerce, ICSE is unbeatable.ICSE provides option of choosing Economics, Accounting & Commercial studies as optional subjects from class IX itself instead of studying some other subjects like sciences ( which are of no use to students who wants to pursue a career in commerce)

SO Never believe in India's development story ( we have been taught to imagine/think, India as upcoming superpower from past 2000 years. now u know where really India stands) . even if there is some development it will be on blood of people. You better stay in USA to provide right education & right standard living for ur children that they deserve.
