    Hi Everyone,

I find a number of fish sold in american stores but I am in doubt if I can try these fish for our indian cooking.I know salmon, tilapia, kingfish, catfish are used in indian cooking. But I wanted to know if there are other fish also which can be used. Some of the fish I saw are

    walleye
    trout
    perch
    bass
    snapper(red,white)
    halibut
    flounder
    herring
    grouper
    mackerel
    monkfish
    cod
    carp

Can anyone please tell me which ones we can use for fry/gravy?
    Thanks.

Mackerel is a variety like shark we get in India. Huge sized fish.

Other than that i have tried Pompino, particularly the black pompino itz too good.

Will check with my husband and update the rest. He is used to it than me.

Horse mackerel is small and quite common in India. Google to get a picture and then you will understand.
