Hi Lasaha: Welcome to Indusladies! I don't live in MK anymore. I am back in India. It is a year since I moved back. Are you new in Milton Keynes? How long have you been there? Sindhu
:thumbsup Hello Friends.... We're glad to have come across IndusLadies and have seen some invaluable posts by you all..... We're also sure that many new comers would have benefitted from the experience of others already in the country. First of all, to introduce ourselves, we (Raj & Sonali) are a couple from Bombay (Mumbai), India and would be moving to the UK soon. Raj had been to the UK to look around for accommodation in and around Harrow / Wembley etc and it looks as if we are going to be based in Wembley..... Are there any of you who are based in Wembley or areas closeby , Harrow etc? Hows the experience of staying in Wembley been for some / any of you? It will be nice to hear your comments / views / feedback. Also how do we exchange contacts on this site? email id's or phone nos etc? Looking forward to the UK and to many friends through Indus Ladies... Thanks.... Sonali & Raj
Hi Sonali & Raj: Welcome to Indusladies! I'm sure an ILite around the areas of Wembley / Harrow will respond soon. In the meanwhile, thought I'd clarify on your query - To get in touch with other ILites, you need to cross the 50+ posts mark. All the best with your move to the UK and hope it is smooth transition. Hi All My name is swathi and I am living in west drayton for 1 1/2 years.Presently i am 32 nd week pregnant. Is there any indian families arethere in west drayton? Please let me know. bye swathi
hi, ILites im technically still in india and planning to move to derby in a yr's time. i read all the post in this thread, i guess it does become a little difficult for us indian to move to a country where one hardly knows their neighbour, let alone make frnds and meet new families. we indians happen to be very social people, we will take even care of strangers, let alone our people. From all i have read here is that, the winters is really harsh, that is what my tobe dh is saying. No more bright sunshine and only survive in dull gloomy weather... hope i find good friends around derby, otherwise i always have Ilites... thanz for being here u guys kainaath.
Hi swathi: Welcome to Indusladies! If an ILite is there close to your place, I'm sure they will respond, until have a good time going through the various forums. Where exactly is West Drayton? I do hope you find company soon Hope all goes well with your pregnancy. My best wishes to you. Sindhu
Hi Kainaath: welcome to Indusladies! Like you said it yourself, since we Indians are very social people , we will make friends everywhere So no worries on that end. Yes, winters when compared to most parts of India are harsh in the UK. However, you do get used to it in a couple of years. You will then find it hard to adjust back to the hot summers in india. Yes, weather can be cloudy most of the months and therefore when the sun comes out, you celebrate! But then, if you have a good support system in the form of friends, you are fine. Good luck with your move to Derby. Sindhu
