Importance of a good School District!

Hi everyone!s

We have been looking for buying a house, i have 2 kids one is in elementary and the other than is getting ready for one. We have been living a good school district but unfortunately its a old place so no decent houses coming up within my budget , its been a very strenuous activity for the family.

So just want an idea how much importance should be given for the school district? I understand its personal comfort level.... but any inputs would be useful!
