    Hi All

So I am into vegan baking and was very ambitious for my dad's birthday yesterday and tried to bake a vegan chocolate 2 layered cake. I guess I tried to take it out of the pan too quickly or what, but the cake broke into two and got crumbly. I managed to salvage as much cake as I could so that I had something my dad could cut into, but I have a ton left over now. Can someone give me some ideas on what I can do with it? Mainly, I need them to be vegan - as in I can use any non-dairy milk/butter or whatever to it.

I use it for a trifle but it isn't healthy.
I use transparent cups or glasses for it. Use the crumbled cake at the bottom, jelly or custard as the next layer, fruits, custard and then chocolate ganache or glaze or cream(I whip it with cordial for adults) or ice cream with toppings.

I used to simply squeeze the crumbles into small laddus, using my hands and store them along with the neat pieces of the cake. I guess this would work if your original cake was somewhat moist or fudgy.

Cake balls is a good option.

If it's moist, just roll it.

If it needs moisture, cream / melted chocolate / jam can be added slowly and mix and roll till it takes the shape.

Place in the fridge to set.

Then eat as is or you can also coat it by dipping in melted chocolate and set it.

I usually just spoon cake crumbs into my mouth.

    Other ideas:
    Cake pops
Parfait - layer the cake bits with fruit, Jell-O, ice cream, whatever you have on hand
Use it instead of crackers in a pie crust
Cake crumb cookies - use the cake crumbs instead of flour

The ladoo idea is new to me. Thanks @kalcandu.

This is what the kids have been doing :) I think I will run out of the problem of figuring out what to do pretty soon... I might just not have enough left to anything with it!!

The original cake is all gone!!! Whatever I was able to salvage was cut and eventually dug into by the kids.. it wasn't in great shape anyway to do anything with it :-(
