Nandini, this is truly the stuff dreams are made of, but in an ideal world, it should be something life is made of. Unfortunately life and work pins us down to the mundane routine which is not really 'living' but a mere 'existence'. I don't know how many years I lost in such oblivion of the beauty around me. Sometimes I wonder whether there are more birds now than there were then or whether I just failed to notice them! Am sure it must be the latter. It was not until life grounded me that I was forced to sit back and observe critters, flowers and sounds all around me and what a revelation that was! It is truly a luxury to be able to sit back and notice all these goings on and to live once again. The irony is that the 'real' world around would not call this 'living', but believe me 24 hours don't suffice these days. No time to get bored the way I did when I was younger and was 'living' and 'working'.
