I like house smelling nice but could never achieve it spending 100s on all those fancy products. I think it also depends on amount/type of cooking and size of house, airing out house/windows open.
So after trying everything, finally, now, I burn lot of candles. I tried all brands from 5 - 50 $ per candle but least expensive walmart candles worked best. Need to burn it long. So for pooja, I use these or when guests coming, burn 1 hr before.
There are expensive and safer candlers - soya or beeswax but they do not smell much.

Vinegar Baking soda did not help much plus too much work each time I cook.

Then warming oils and diffusers are also good ,quicker than candles but not long lasting smells. Works for me.

Remember each method also brings some amount on toxins, so If u have kids or small house or more closed house ( like less ventilation), think.

Incense sticks are good..I also use aroma lamps..I put a few drops of nice smelling aroma oil in water and light the lamp for some time. The house smells great. I also try and keep the doors open for some time for cross ventilation. I Keep a cut lemon in the refrigirator and change it from time to time so that it smells good. Burning bay leaves and camphor also keeps the house smelling great.

So very true. I baked some cookies with cardamom, cinnamon and Star Anees powder. Not only whole house smelled aromatic, it lifted my mood also.

Oil diffuser is my idea of making my home smell pleasant. Lemon grass oil is the signature burner oil which I always stick to.
