Im 15 weeks pregnant with excessive vomitting. Tried different tablets as suggested by my gynac. Spitting up whatever i eat. Lost 5kgs in first trimester. I end up with iv fluids for my stamina mostly. Sinced this is my second trimester im worried abt the weight gain im lacking. Moreover i couldnt take milk which is essential now. After drinking i throw up curdled. Im scared every day. Do suggest me to tackle nausea and increase weight.

P.s : I have tried gingle ale, dry crackers, lemonade, citric fruits, vomitting tablets, v6 tablets. Nothing worked. Ended up in acid reflux and heatburn.

Even u vomit Al's try to eat...if you didn't vomit after taking food just for 10 mins Al's it's good the protein will be absorbed by the body..try eating more fruits if u can't take rice or bfast...eat bananas it will increase baby weight..and als when eating don't think that you are going to vomit....your felling itself cause to vomit ..take dry fruits and nuts if u don't like much of natural fruits...
Try fruit juices more which they will mix with blood immediately if u vomit als no need think much...and als don't drink or eat very fast ...hope you feel better soon.. don't worry your baby will put up weight after 6montgs onl .. now everything is for u only ..be Happy

I went thru similar situation during my pregnancy too.

My weight went from normal to under weight during the first trimester. I think I went down to 45-46 kgs for 5.4 ft.

I used to vomit through out the day, even keeping down a cracker or water was an issue. This lasted for about 6 months I guess. No meds worked. I barely ate anything due to it.

My gyne said that it’s normal for some to go through this n that it will get better. It did, I gained a lot of weight during my last trimester, the vomiting stopped. I was able to eat anything. It doesn’t affect the baby.

Each women’s body process pregnancy differently. I have friends who never felt nausea or any kind of discomfort, it was a smooth sail. N there was me, who felt like my organs were gona come out as it was that bad n had zero energy. But it gets better with time.

Instead of going for acidic drinks (eg: citrus) , try coconut water. That's alkaline in nature and has many nutrients.Make sure you are hydrated well. If you watch, the factors triggering you, then it may help to reduce vomiting. I did that and it worked in may case. I used to carry a lemon with me, its smell (scratch on its skin) helped me to reduce the urge for vomiting. If GYN is OK, nothing to worry. I didn't gain much wait during second pregnancy, but the weight of my baby was good. Also had issues with less amniotic fluid, watermelon juice helped me a lot.

Eat protein rich foods, nuts, fruits, vegetables etc. Try small quantities. Reduce the use of acidic food (eg tomato or spicy foods, especially dinner, created a lot of issues for me, so watch your food). Eat food at least 2-3 hours before going to bed. Everyone is different, so listen to your body & try different options.

    Take care.
