    If the depth of the neck is more the shoulder slides.This can be prevented by making shoulder measurement less by 3/4 cm to 1cm.

    If you want good finish prepare facing for the hem and apply.prepare the draft of the skirt. draw another line (Red line ) parallel to the edge as shown in the figure.Cut along the red line,This is the draft for the facing.If the material is not enough to cut facing in one piece,cut the draft in to bits and mark them 1,2,3... and cut the fabric .Add1/2" seams for stitching them together.Aadd 1/2" seam along the curved lines also.Stitch the bits together and apply to the skirt.Bias piece can also be used. But we will get good finish if we use facing.

    Please help to Stitch a dress for My new baby

    Hi all,

    Iam very new to this website.Iam 6 months pregnant.I do not know stitching.

    I wanted to stitch any kind of dress for my baby who will be entering in this world.Which can be a frock, dress,skirt e.t.c.

    Please do help with the pattern in detail which makes me to understand easily, to start stitching a dress.I need basics to start with.


    I request all the Indus ladies to help me out.
