    Hi friends,

I bought a small polymer ganesha idol for vinayka charturthi. Generally it needs to be disposed after 3 days of worship. In India we throw it in beach, but since we are here i don't know what to do :bonk.

please tell me what to do

dont get me wrong but as per the info I know, polymer doesnt dissolve in water...and its not safe to leave it in lakes because the idol would take several months to dissolve and also the paint etc pollutes water...

why not just keep it in your house and try making a small ball out of haldi and keep it along with polymer ganesha and do pooja to both and dissolve the haldi ball in water..as ganesha form....

My mom told me that during my grand mas time, they used to buy both polymer idol and clay idol...and used to dissolve only clay idol in water and keep the polymer idol..and put that polymer idol in the golu / bommala koluvu during dussehra or pongal or navraathri .....
