how to clean carpet so as it looks new and fluffy

Hello friends,
I recently come to US. I have two kids ages of 5 yrs and 10 months old.

I want to know how to clean carpet so as it looks new and fluffy.
I do vaccum twice a week, it cleans the carpet but at some places the carpet looks not as fluffy as it was when we moved in the apartment.

Please share your suggestions,tips etc

In lowes and walmart you will get Wet Vaccum for rent... rent it for a day and vaccum the floor with specified shampoo atleast once in six months to get a clean and rich feel. ideasmiley
