How to chat with online friends in IL

Hi Guys,

This may be a totally dumb question but I have sort of lost patience with trying to figure out how I can chat with people who are online in IL, other than posting reply to threads or send private messages... Can someone please help? Is there any chat IM available?

I doubt if there is such a facility (if there is one, I wud like to know too as the website is more directed towards assisting people on info through the history of IMs which have been posted thereon....
