Everyone of us know what is to be included in our daily diet to stay fit and healthy, but do we realy follow it daily?? Please let me know what you don't miss even a single day to stay fit..
Two things i follow daily is 1) drinking atleast 2ltr of water per day 2) to eat atleast one fruit a day
Trying to 1) Cut down on rice 2) cook with very little oil ( no deep frying ) 3) lot of veggies and fruits.
Very nice tips and easy to follow as well. I think cooking with very little oil should be compensated with some healthy fat like including almonds, nuts etc.. actually I'm planning to do that hereafter.
Yes, but just wanted to let you know something I learnt about nuts recently. They are healthy only if you each a certain recommended amount. Approx13 almonds a day / 11 walnuts . I went all out and gained a few pounds
But I thought nuts helps us to lose weight.. esp almond, pistachios, walnut.. I guess just nuts alone cant do the trick.. it has to be followed with complete healthy diet
1. Eating protein one time be it lentils/dals/black beans and no rotis / tortillas 2. I eat avocados along with black beans & salsa almost everyday one time, but again I gained weight because of going overboard on avocado. Avocado is a super food but has a lot of fat, so if one eats more than half in a day, you are going to add some lbs to yourself. So, I cut down on that. 3. Sometimes make smoothies out of veggies like spinach, celery, kale, other greens, cucumber and adding only half fruit like banana or strawberries or orange. Here again, it's imp that one does not add too much fruit, I just add one, otherwise its nothing but a sugar overload.
Sometimes we overthink healthy. It backfires and we get stressed about it. I personally feel unless you need to reach a particular weight goal or fitness level, there is no need to follow a strict diet.Live it up a little bit It took me four years to literally reach a weight goal and cut out extra fat.It is a lot of time but I want to do it my way by eating what I wanted, doing calorie zig zag, binge eating to confuse the metabolism and counting calories too apart from workouts. Leaving weight aside,If one wants to remain healthy,I feel eat your foods which you like, junk food in moderation, eat according to your particular culture for e.g.:idli's and dosas are my South Indian culture and I did not cut it out for wheat breads and smoothies.Add the super foods as a supplement.Lots of water, good sleep, enjoying food helps in keeping healthy I feel. Only one thing I religiously follow is no sugar in coffee and tea.Plus I am not much into sweets
