    Congratulations on your baby, @Starkgirl!

I understand why you want to return to your Dad's place. I don't understand how your DH can be okay with choosing his mother over his wife and child. I hope everyone sees reason and your child is able to live and bond with both parents.

Don't let your MIL drive you out of your own home. Ignore her and her antics. Speak to her only when absolutely necessary.

What to do when she's muttering? Go to your room and shut the door. If you can't do that, put on some music, hum a tune, dance if you have the energy. Give her time to realize that she can't control you with her passive-aggressive behavior.

If she complains, express concern and suggest she go home since she doesn't seem to be happy here.

Don't let her tantrums ruin your time with your baby. This is a time for celebration and building happy memories.

Excellent! I hope things work out well for you.
