@Amica, Just as Viswa will do. I get notification if anyone posts anything in threads I have responded or originated. I also get notification when someone tags me. I am not sure how the technology works. His Excellency Viswamitra Sir. Just kidding. I didn't get Sir from the United Kingdom. Most younger women started addressing me "Viswa Sir" or "Viswamitra Ji" and when I protested they felt uncomfortable to address me as "Viswa". Hence I let it stay as is. I am very comfortable with just "Viswa". When I come to know that some men and women here in IL of my age or older than I am, I prefer to address them with "Smt" or "Sri" in front of their name. Only Cheeniya I address as "Cheeniya Sir". Only select few ILites know my real name and let it remain that way. I am okay and most address me "Viswa". One specific ILite addresses me as "V Sir" while another man addresses me as "V". "Vis" and "Mitra" could be other choices. "Aether".
Hahaha. Men accept ageing but women is part of "Resist Movement". Someday they will understand and say "#Me Too".
@periamma, it's good to see you here. You remind me very much of my real life Periamma. Periamma Patti is so sweet.
Viswa, it is! Although His Excellency Viswamitra Sir has a nice ring to it. I like this. The literary meaning suits you.
Satchi is just fine! @username is alright if attention has to be drawn to some post, otherwise ..... naaaa... New user name? "Huh?"
Which reminds me of something I've been meaning to ask you. When our post is quoted by others, we get a notification. I missed some alerts when you quoted my post but instead of clicking on "Quote" or "Reply" you copy/pasted text from post and put quote tags around it. Was wondering why. In addition to quoted member not receiving an alert, it is not possible for readers to click on quoted post and reach its location, and read it fully. Just curious.. I was positive I had cured you of this bad habit of asking/guessing age in your mind. Buri aadat hai, badal dalo. Change the habit.
