    Friends,

My doc has suggested me to take fish oil capsules for increasing my HDL.
WIll this have any side effects? Is there any veg supplement (equally beneficial) for this? As i read in google that it might have a fishy after taste/effect. As im a vegetarian im concerned about this.

I shall be taking nuts and other stuff. Just curious to know if anyone could raise their HDL levels naturally, if so, please share your tips. What veggies can i include in my daily routine.

Losing weight would increase HDL but im not overweight and i exercise regularly. So this option is not for me.

I also have a concern if eating oats will help me in increasing HDL.

    Any other tips welcome.

Walnut increases HDL and Cod Liver Oil capsule does but make sure to take the capsule and not the oil by itself. Oil by itself tastes horrible fishy. Capsules dont have any flavour after effect unless u chew it.

I think the general recommendation to take one tablet three times a day is to suggest taking one with each meal.Fish that are especially rich in the beneficial oils known as omega-3 fatty acids include mackerel, tuna, salmon, sturgeon, mullet, bluefish, anchovy, sardines, herring, trout, and menhaden
