What cleaners are you using on glass? Sometimes abrasive cleaners cause the Glass surface to look dull! Use Soft clothes and Glass stove cleaners which are available in market!

Soak the burner plates in hot soapy water and rub it with soft cloth.Do this once in a week at least.

 

MICROWAVE OVEN

--> Instead of covering food pan completely,leave a small portion vented while placing inside the MW Oven.

--> Always stand 6 ft away from MW oven to be in the safer side.

--> Use "Microwave safe" Containers and never follow "its ok" policy.

--> Before using microwave check its power in Watts.Many recipes set timings for 700watt MW oven and thus set the time as per the wattage.

 

HOW TO CHECK "MICROWAVE SAFE" CONTAINER?

--> Keep a small bowl full of water and the empty container which we want to test inside the MW Oven.Cook it for 1 minute.

--> After a minute,if the water alone gets hot and the container remains cool,it is safe to use in MW Oven.

HOW TO CHECK MICROWAVE OVEN'S WATTAGE?

--> Fill a glass cup with lukewarm water and boil it in Oven.

--> Don't cover the top of the glass cup.

--> If boiling completes less than 3 mins,then the wattage is 600-700.

--> If it completes 3-4 mins,then the wattage is 500-600.

--> More than 4 mins, then the wattage is below 500.

 

CLEANING MICROWAVE OVEN

--> Place the cup containing 1 cup of water with less amount of lemon juice mixed with it inside the oven.

--> Boil the water for 2-3 mins and switch off.

--> Let it stays inside the oven for another 5 mins without the MW Oven ON.

--> Now remove the bowl and clean the oven.
