Until citizens see the true colours of these vote-buying, loyalty-buying politicians, rise above selfish interests and unite to revolt against these politicians, nothing is going to happen. Only a complete revolution can work now.

This Satchi and @Balajee is the truth.
Until people rise above their selfish interest and look beyond, it is hard to change the system. We all have our agenda yes, even one as simple as some ideology that we believe in. Voters are important, but informed voters are more important!

Sabitha people have bec ome totally cytnical. They know the netas aren't going to f do anything good for them. So they even treat their voting right with contempt and sell their votes for a pittance. In such circumstance, what do you expect>?

Very disheartening to hear that Balajee! We fought so much for so long for the right to vote and this?
Hopefully some leader emerges who can change the attitude in people.

It will take more than a leader. An entire movement would be needed.

    Dear Balajee,

No party has impressed the people far ahead of the other options and hence the political battles are going to result in hung Parliaments and hung assemblies from now on. As a country, India has to review the option for public to choose from set of Parliamentarians and Legislators for the Central and State elections respectively. Alternatively, the popular vote should govern which individual should be asked to rule the state/central government and choose their own cabinet and legislators.

For the time being ,horses stay put and exposed the buyer .they did not become donkeys

But games are not over yet , there will more attempts as chankya is expert in using all weapons saam, bhed, dhand, cbi, personal life so on and so forth

Karnatak govt is a gift from single largest party to congress/Jds as chankya himself showed the way how to go about getting into power in spite of less seats.

I think in the present situation people should still go and vote to the party which resembles their ideology even remotely, sitting at home and not voting is not an option, then they deserve the govt they did not vote for.

Such less turnout in Bangalore is shame , what were people doing , enjoying a holiday ..

Perhaps Tamils in Bangalore were not showing up in the booth because they know no Government in Karnataka was going to give Kaveri water to their mother State.

Viswa sorry your first option is not clear to me. As for the second, is it feasible in a country as large and diverse as India?
