Home made Sandhu pottu .

Hi ,

I made saandhu at home and like to share the recipie with you all ..

Javvarisi - 1 handful
rice flour - 5 tsp .

First , take a iron kadai and heat it . After that add the javvarisi and saute it till it becomes like brown color . Then add rice flour and saute till it become reddish brown color . Add water so that this mixture immerses well in water . Nicely stirr it till it turns sticky . Flame is medium always . Then allow it to cool .

I made this and after u keep bindhi with this , it will be for a day ..
Javarisi cools the body also so it is used for bindhi purpose .

Till my college days I use to keep this santhu prepared by my mom.
In our family,its a tradition to keep this santhu for the babies too.
For the fragrance,Mom used to add Talcum powder as the final step.
Try out in your next preparation.
