Dear Friends I am a teacher from Mumbai and my husband has a job offer in Dubai airport. I understand that Bur Dubai is an Indian locality and close to airport as well. How much rental should we expect to pay for a good 1bed room flat in this area? We are non vegetarians but no smoking or alcohol.Apart from housing how much should be the monthly expense for two of us? I have a BCom and PGDBA in HR and doing IGCSE teachers course of Cambridge Univ and teaching in an ICSE english medium school at Mumbai for last 3 months. Is there jobs available in Dubai for school teachers in nursery and KG sections. Thanks in advance. Mayura
hi mayura... I am also basically from mumbai, mulund... The rents in burdubai are pretty high.. but have lowered down a bit due to the recession.. Still for a decent flat you will have to pay not less than 55,000 to 60,000 a year... Apart from that the monthly expenses for both of depends on ur lifestyle.... As of teachers jobs... i read a lot of vacancies for nursery teachers out here.... Best luck
Hi Rupsats Thanks for your response.Good to know that there are vaccancies for nursery teacher jobs in Dubai. I have registered myself with naukrigulf, jobs in dubai and lobo management. Is there anything else I should do to get a teachers job? Hope seniors here will guide me. Regards Mayura

Hi Mayura, I am from pune & i currently live in Burdubai, you could expect a rent of Dhs 55000 to Dhs 70000 for a 1 bedroom flat. Also grocery charges depend on the no of members in the family & your lifestyle- of eating out etc According to your qualifications you could definitely get a good job out here- once you are in dubai you can search for jobs in Gulf news. All the best !!! regds, Anushka
Dear Anushka Thanks for the information. Look forward to meeting you. How is the travel time between Bur Dubai and Airport? Mayura
Hi Mayura, Travel time betn burdubai & airport- with traffic- 45 mins. without traffic- 20 mins. regards, Anushka
Hi Mayura, Since your hubby will be working at the dubai airport, I would suggest you check out ghusais or deira as these places are closer to airport & rents are more reasonable than Par Dubai. Judith
