I got VLCC's ayurvedic henna. It has muskroot as one of the key ingredients, what exactly is muskroot? Does it promote hair growth?

Anybody know the Tamil name of the herb?

Not sure of the tamil name But Musk root is also known as Jatamansi.

Can get it in any ayurvedic store if you ask for jatamansi.

It helps in hair regrowth.

VLCC henna is crap. I finally tried it but have to say was utterly disappointed with the results. I added tea decoction, lemon juice, 4 cloves(powdered) and kept it in an iron bowl for 24 hours. The next day I added beetroot(boiled and cooled) paste to the mix and applied to the hair. I kept it for more than 8 hours on my hair. But still couldn't get the desired results. It has added some gloss to my hair, which I appreciate but my hair turned more browner in color.:rant

Dont boil beetroot instead abstract the fresh raw juice. add beetroot juice along with other indgredients.

would any body suggest me how to mix henna pwd and other things to get regrowth of my hair. and one more doubte whether can we apply henna to oily hair else or not .pls kindly suggest me the effective tips for hair regrowth and thickening of hair

Hi,
I too wanted to prepare henna for hair colour and for hair fall. there is too much hair fall, I tried many things like dove hair therapy, and now my hair has premature greys.
Thanks to Indus ladies site, i have full trust other than any other site.

I have a doubt here. when we add egg to henna for hair fall, should we keep it overnite. kindly tell me how to add eggs.

Hi Anitha,

We use egg in the henna pack as a conditioner. So it is enough that we add white of egg to the henna mix 1 hour before applying to hair.
