Help For Indian Student

    My son is studying in St.catherine area. Are there any homemade Indian food available. It will so much of a help.

    Please encourage your son to start cooking, start simple like dal, rasam etc. I am sure there will be indian restaurants around, but it would'nt be authentic and will be costly too.

    Good opportunity for son to learn cooking. Your future DIL will be very happy .
    Unlike in India the chances of “tiffin” service is really low abroad. I live in area with lots of Indians and I do not have a single one.

    Probably he can try cooking jeera rice or pulav in cooker. There are many many one pot recipes on youtube and also many microwave recipes. Alternately you can also create some upma mix and send it to him, he will then just have to heat it up with either water or buttermilk. When I was a student, I would cook for 2 days in a row. My brother too had to learn cooking when he moved here... My parents would type the recipes and email it to him in advance so he could cook later whenever he wanted to.

    Thank you all. He knows little bit of cooking . It's just the motherhood in me trying to find easy way I guess. I appreciate all your effort in taking time to respond to my post.:blush:
