    Congratulations!

It is a stressful time. As and when you can try to take rest and try to reduce stress. All this affects milk production.

I used to have 10-12 cloves of garlic everyday for the first 40 days. I also had about 1l of jeera water everyday. I used to drink 3/4l of milk everyday. This helped me immensely for both my kids.

    1. Oats and not oatmeal. Get rolled oats and powder them with some almonds, take it as porridge.
    2. Bread with milk.
    3. Mutton soup.
    4. Take vendhayam and raw rice, pressure cook until soft. Add jaggery and have it.
    5. Add fennel seeds or make kashayam kind by boiling fennel seeds with water.
    6. Garlic boiled with milk, if u don't have hemroids.

    stay hydrated and be relaxed.
watch some comedy clips in Tv while feeding or pumping.

    Hi,

Have bottle gourd ( suraikkai in tamil ) once in 2 days.

Also include oats, barley, bread with milk, garlic, drumstick etc.

My lactation consultant once told me to have asparagus and sweet potatoes often.

you should drink 10-12 glasses of water on a daily basis..breast milk is basically liquid. So you need the regular intake of fluids to produce it.

    Have 2-3 glasses of milk.

Have sago ( sabudhana ) porridge once a day.

Include green leafy vegetables, lots of fruits and vegetables.

Massage your breast while taking a warm shower to stimulate the glands. You can find massage techniques online.

Be relaxed..that's very important. Get enough sleep. If you don't sleep then you will be very tired and you can't produce enough milk.

Just keep on telling yourself that you will have enough milk to feed your baby.

You can try ayurvedha medicines if you want. My friend had the same problem, took ayurvedha medicines and she was happy.

Dont panic since you have preterm babies...no need to panic at all as long as they are healthy.

I had the same problem..my daughter was born 4 weeks before the due date and I was not able to give her milk. I tried so many things but of no use. I was very depressed and guilty but she was totally fine. Now she is an intelligent girl, very healthy. So be positive and happy always.

    Good luck with everything !

    1. Baby Rusk with Milk
    2. Sura puttu - but be mindful as sura has mercury content
    3. Goat liver
    4. Mama's Best
    5. Mothers Horlicks
    6. Dry Fish
    7. Mutton
    8. Garlic
    9. Avaraikai
    10. atleast 1 ltr of Milk everyday

Take all these. I promise you will have abundant milk. Above all. . .make you babies keep their mouth in your nibs often. Their salaiva is one important factor for lactation.

All the Best Dear! Be Stress Free! Dont limit yourself on any diet. Eat well! Lactate Well!

    Luv
    Sharmila
