Dear ILs can anyone of you share healthy breakfast ideas that involves nuts and fruits. Having dosa and idlis since childhood and now as i am in early 30s i want to change my diet unlike the ones i had all these years .What are the anti ageing foods you are aware of? Seen many videos on chia seed pudding.Planning to make one.Incase it turns out to be palatable i shall share the recipe here.

You can try soaking steelcut or rolled oats with some milk and add mashed banana and chia seeds to it and keep in fridge. Next day morning add strawberries ,blueberries ,some yoghurt or peanut butter and garnish with some nuts.
You can even try Açai berry bowl too

I also grew up eating idli, dosa or pongal for breakfasts. But I broke that a decade ago. I eat nuts, fruits and salads for breakfast. You can do any combinations. If you eat fruits and nuts as a very first thing, then you will realise their lingering true taste. Try it and be consistent to follow every day.

    Smoothies!
There are lots of recipes on the net. You can make your own . Changes/customize as you like.
They are quick to make and to-go friendly (always a plus for mornings)
The nuts will provide protein and fat - keeping you from getting hungry until lunch

My favorite is soaking steel cut oats or Muesli.. or both.. in almond milk ... add raisins, dates, or fresh berries. Leave it overnight in the fridge for nice cold breakfast on summer days.

Shravs, this combo is very new to me. Will oats taste good uncooked?

Of course it will be good since we are soaking it in milk and banana overnight . It would have softened the oats .Next day you can add little milk if you feel the mixture is thick .And sugar is optional since we are adding banana to it . Since mine is sweet tooth I used to add some brown sugar or even dates sometimes.

I personally like overnight oats .
Here is the recipe you can refer

How about trying fruit smoothies and sprinkle nuts on top. There are amazing recipes on you tube. For a very simple idea how about porridge with blue berries or any fruit in season garnished with nuts such as walnuts, almonds etc. Try it once you do you will be able to make up your own recipes as you go along. You can also add chia seeds on all your smoothies and porridge. Go on give it a try
