He came up another time To a generous applause. His bow was not so sublime But nobody knew the cause. Engaging the audience again, He performed many a trick. Nothing seemed hard a terrain For him, his actions were slick. Many children in the crowd Clapped hard and shouted in joy. Some even exclaimed aloud, He was too good in his ploy. It was time for the final act And he took that long hat. What would he get from it was The question and there was a pause. The man in many colored dress, Famous for being the best then Made them all to wait no less, At last was pulling something. A long cloth came out from that Previously empty hat and those Sitting closer saw that it had Something written in gold and bold. Soon he held and spread it so that Everyone saw what it was, and few Understood, and clapped so hard Bringing from his eyes, tears anew. "Thank you!" they said echoing The words in that cloth, louder. He bowed again, started going Back, then feeling much older!

Past two days I was thinking about Captain Cool of India Cricket, M.S.Dhoni bidding adieu from International Team Captaincy at the peak of his career, a wise decision prompting all to ask "Why ?" instead of "Why not ?". Seems he will soon retire from T20 and ODI too, aiming to mentor young players. Past few years not able to follow Cricket as I used to, but some matches are still fresh in memory. Co-incidentally watched a movie the Untold Story of M.S.Dhoni only during Christmas Weekend and me and husband were discussing why the movie now with some scenes involving pavilion room strategies when he was still playing and that too as a captain. Were opining that it would have been nice had the movie released after M.S retires. In a matter of few days this decision from him. Hmm.. Interesting...
It was a mere coincidence, @Pavithra. In general, quitting something from what someone is deeply involved about is most difficult and a very few do it at the right time without a fuss. Btw, I did not see the film. Thanks for your nice feedback. -rgs
